Welcome to all and thanks for stopping by for a visit! The idea behind creating this page is simple: to create an environment where people can talk about wine in an easy and inviting way. I've witnessed enough scenarios where people have either been uncomfortable, intimidated or down right embarrased about asking certain questions regarding wine, whether it be in the work place or elsewhere, and that should never be the case! So why not create a place where anyone can ask questions that other people can help answer in a positive atmosphere?
So that was the first idea. But then I realized: what a great opportunity to also create an environment for all my friends in the industry to go back and forth and share different ideas regarding service, cuisine, and beverage, witnessed on a daily basis from your interactions from customers, clients, friends and others. For those of us that are serious in this business, I really think that can be an invaluable tool. (And a great way to keep in touch with all you guys!)
Hopefully this can expand further than my own group of friends, but for now, this is who will be (hopefully!) taking a peak at this page. But that's awesome! Because that list includes people who are at different stages within their jobs; different stages within the Court of Master and ISG programs, chefs, people passionate about cooking, people passionate about drinking, people passionate about service and people from other countries passionate about their own food and wine culture. And all of you are people whose opinion and attitudes I deeply value. Dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and sharing it with others so that we can all benefit and be better at what we do. That's the idea!!
